All STAAD product releases are now deployed through Bentley SELECT Services. If you are unsure of what SELECT Services
is or how to obtain the latest version of your software we have compiled this FAQ list which will help answer your questions.
What is SELECT client?
Bentley SELECT is the name of the program that replaces the support and maintenance
agreement that was previously available from Research Engineers. With a SELECT agreement, you become a SELECT client, which among
other benefits provides access to our technical support resources as well as the ability to download all product releases during
the time period you are on SELECT (maintenance). To read more on the specifics of SELECT please refer to the

I am a SELECT client. Where do I get the software?
If you are a SELECT client then you should also have a SELECT
User Name and Password to allow you access to the SELECTServices website to download the latest software. From the SELECTservices
page, click on Downloads/MySELECT_CD. You will need the user name and password information that was provided to the Bentley contact
in your organization when the SELECT contract was completed.
We can’t find our SELECT username and password, or I am unsure if our company is on SELECT. What do I do?
In either
of these cases we ask you to please contact licensing@bentley.com or call (800) 513-5103
(US) or (31) 23 556 0646 (EU) so we can further diagnose and respond to your situation.
I am not a SELECT client. How do I learn more about signing up to receive the latest version of the RAM Products?

Why is the latest release not a free upgrade?
In between each major release there is sometimes a need to release
updates that address major product defects or minor feature enhancements. These versions are made available to all clients
as an automatic minor version update on the most recent major version. These minor versions are available to all clients
irrespective of whether they are on SELECT or not, provided they have the most recent major version release. However, only
those clients on SELECT are eligible to receive major versions where significant new features have been added.
