Sectionwizard 3.0 Build
1001 has the following new features, modifications
& bug fixes:
- Section Builder
- Free Sketch
- STAAD.Pro Interoperability
A. Section Builder
The following new modules
have been introduced with this version:
- In addition to Undo, the
user can now Redo the last operation performed.
- Double clicking on elements
now reveals individual dimensions and properties.
- Individual elements comprising
a built-up section can be changed by a simple
right-click.
- Additional points added
on the middle of sides for certain cross sections
like rectangular tubes and wide-flanges.
- Snap to points added for
checking section dimensions.
- The calculation of the
plastic section modulus in Tee sections has
been corrected.
B. Free Sketch
- Insert standard steel
sections into Free Sketch based on selected
international steel databases.
- In addition to Undo, the
user can now Redo the last operation performed.
- Vertices can be deleted
graphically.
- Internal cutouts can be
copied in repetition.
- Parametric holes added
to allow holes to be placed accurately on the
section.
- Multiple vertices can
be selected and moved simultaneously.
- Snap to points added for
checking section dimensions.
- New standard section templates
can be “parametricized“ including channels and
rectangular tubes.
- Importing DXF and DWG
files has been enhanced to read polylines more
effectively.
C. STAAD.Pro Interoperability
- A unit system can be defined
before properties are exported to a STAAD.Pro
General or Prismatic User Table.
